Times of the year recommended for a visit to Gallipoli:
- Carnival… be part of the exuberant atmosphere of the carnival cavalcade with floats and colourful characters parading through the streets of the old and new town.

- Festival of Saint Christine (24th July) …get carried away by the locals and their devotion for their beloved Patron Saint. The statue of Saint Christine is carried over the sea in a procession involving fireworks and traditional games.
- Summertime…see the old fisherman at portside repairing the nets and weaving traps. Enjoy the fresh air and sea breeze in the tiny typical local bars and restaurants al fresco on the ramparts of the old city. Explore the breathtaking coast and take a boat trip to the Island of Saint Andrea with its imposing white light house.
